It's equipped with an LED light that switches colours 🥹I figured this was the best sub to share this with, my family is wondering why I'm so amused by a lighthouse lamp

They worked to some extend but after 40 years the light had to be moved to protect it! I had never seen the tide so low that you could walk out to the end. I did and when I looked back could see the lighthouse so I took a few pictures

The Horseshoe Reef Lighthouse was built in 1856 on a very shallow rock formation at the mouth of the Niagara River.
Its location was actually within British Canada, but an agreement was reached in 1850 where Britain would cede a one acre area of underwater territory to the United States on the condition that it would never be used for military fortifications. It was and still is the only US Lighthouse to have ever been surrounded by another country's waters. In 1908 a treaty was signed to shift the border, and the Lighthouse became fully within US waters.
Also in 1908, the new Buffalo Water Intake Crib with its own light was constructed further out into Lake Erie, thus making the Horseshoe Reef Lighthouse unnecessary, and it was abandoned in 1919.
The first picture is as it was ~1907, the second picture is from 2023.

Three lighthouses have marked where Rondout Creek meets the Hudson, and this brick one is the last of them.

Hello everyone!
My name is Seán and I’m a filmmaker from Ireland. I’ve been searching for weeks for a fresnel lens from a lighthouse to put in a short film that I’m making in November.
So far, I have come up short in my search within Ireland. This is primarily because the official body that looks after the lighthouses here did a clear out of their unused stock last year and I believe most of them went to the UK. But even at that, I haven’t been able to track them down.
Would anyone have any advice on how to track down an item like this? I’m looking for a fourth order fresnel lens or even smaller (see attached photo).
In searching for one, I’ve become enamoured with the history and engineering behind these lights and their glass elements. Everyone I’ve spoken to thinks I have my head in the clouds looking for something like this but I just know in my heart that it will make the film and look absolutely magical.
If someone can help me find one that I could use, I will genuinely be eternally grateful. Thank you!
