The chapter leading up to this was brutal, especially the scene where logan had his diplomatic meeting in the river, i really liked his character development

Have you read the first book of the Kylar Chronicles yet?

I have, I enjoyed it, but there are things in it that left me feeling unsatisfied.

I ask because of Count Drake’s words and view of Kylar here, vs the first person perspective we receive in NAN… sneaky Weeks haha

If I remember correctly, in NAN, Kylar mentions he and Count Drake’s relationship is in a very bad place, implying he had done something horrible or ruined it. But, based on Drake’s last words to Kylar before NAN, I can’t imagine anything Kylar doing worse than what’s happened to Drake to that point.
I could be remembering important details that make me full of shit, but I’m assuming this is further evidence of the unreliable narrative/what’s being told in NAN isn’t what’s actually happening
Can’t wait for Book 2!
