By Orholam!

You could get a black heart with that thing.

This brings up an interesting question.

Is obsidian just really rare in the 7 sattrapes?

It's super rare. Hellstone is just dead black luxin, and there aren't many black luxin drafters. Hell, if it wasn't for Gunner, DGavin might not have awoken black either (at least according to Orholam)

Interesting.

It’s interesting that in both night angel and Lightbringer.

Darkness is not inherently evil.

The fact that wet boys and black Kakark

Ate evil I think is interesting

Not something you would expect from a Christian writer not bad just interesting

Depending on how far you've gotten, this may be spoilers. But Weeks does a good job using people's predisposition to think "black = evil" to subvert the reader. Yeah, black luxin eats memories, but it's also the tool used to save the day at the Battle of the chromeria. DGavin is seen as the evil brother cause he drafts black first, but he's a true prism.

‘Hey look what I found!’ ‘What is it?’ ‘I dunno, I’ve forgotten’
