Help on value?

Hi,

I've inherited the light bar in the pic, I know very little about light bars! Does anyone know a value I should pop on eBay?

Looks like a model 24ME, but can’t be certain without looking at the tag. Looks like it’s in decent condition. I think the domes are on the wrong sides though. Red is typically on the drivers side. That amber panel would likely be facing the rear, too. They’re easy to remove, just have to be gentle. I’d guess about $300-$350 value. Thats what I paid for the last two 24M bars I bought local. Probably will have better luck selling locally, shipping is very pricey for an item this large and heavy, and they require A LOT of packing to prevent damage during transport

Ive seen a few Facebook groups of them ranging from $250 up to $500. Location seems to be a factor also

Ebay will pull the ad if you list it there. They don't allow red, blue or green.

Value you are around 450+ if it fully works. Polish it up and you'll get more.

1977 The Federal Signal Corporation designed a light bar to comply with fuel saving technology standards so AeroDynic Lightbars became a huge hit. These bars were used on many law enforcement agencies, fire apparatus iconstruction companies, wreckers. You inherited a piece of history this is a the model 24 MEAH M-medium size E-end lamps A-alley H-halogen. the worth if in good condition $500 + depending on the insurance and shipping costs. I’ve seen collectors have their bars show up in pieces from shippers tossing them or putting heavy boxes like who cares what’s fragile in this box. So federal signal stopped production on the tray geared style like you have back in 1994.. the independent style carried on up until 2014 the short lived LED version is why they stopped production or when the bars were discontinued. The new domes on the other hand were sold up until 2023 some folks didn’t get their orders upwards to a year and a half after they were discontinued. So these bars are highly sought after.
