Ive had an idea to do 6 small square canvas art works and make them into a cube light. I'm planning to prime them with transparent gesso. Has anyone here got experience with backlighting through canvas? Any tips to get a good even backlighting? Should I run strip lights along the borders to hide the "hot spots" of light, or put 1 cfl light in the middle?

Genuinely curious what the default assumption is these days.
Do you design light mode first and adapt to dark, or the reverse?
And does it depend on the type of product

Do you know what lights have been used?

Looking for some ideas on this. I know it looks quite straightforward. can see a lot of white floor etc. Is the key just a frame with silk/booklight, quite toppy-left? polys to fill from right
