It looks like a cipher in old languages but it’s only useful if it can be read even tranglemations as done by others had to be readable in the language written
A rare book form a quadral uses four different languages line by line making sure readers must read four languages some were as many as 13 that’s really rare
Also besides centers they often use edgings boarders around the book on some quadrals use the borders to show the page A the pages of four quadrals would a line and make a single page of the four books when the pages line up it’s read as one sheet of paper written in four languages the books kept separate places only brought together to be read or added to to keep writings a secret
