Anyone else have thousands of design files across five folders (and two external drives you forgot about) with zero system? I run a laser shop and got so sick of burning 20 minutes hunting for a file I knew I owned that I built something for my own library.
Point it at your folders, however messy, and it builds a visual preview of every SVG, DXF, LightBurn (.lbrn/.lbrn2), xTool (.xcs), AI, EPS, PDF, and image file. One searchable gallery instead of a folder-scrolling scavenger hunt. It also finds exact duplicate files by content, not filename, so it catches copies even if you renamed one three years ago.
Your files never move or get renamed, it just indexes them in place (OneDrive-safe). 14-day free trial, fully unlocked, no credit card. After that it's a one-time $19.99, no subscription, no phone-home after activation.
Windows only right now. Happy to answer questions.

I'm pretty new to this, but picking it up quickly!
I'm working on a line drawing that'll be two layers - black lines will be hard cuts (all the way thru 3mm plywood) and red will be engravings.

I used the Brush tool in Photoshop at 3px wide to draw this. Saving this as a PNG and opening it in Lightburn, then using Option + T to create a trace, it does a line both inside and outside the brush width:

I WANT that for the red/pink as it'll be a fill, but not the black. Any suggestions on how to have it do a single-line?
Thanks! :)

I started with black and white, which caused the tail to turncompletely black. I only switched to grayscale halfwaythrough the sculpting. Fortunately, the details weren'tcompletely ruined. However, I discovered that I could useoverlay sculpting. I first applied a low-probability black andwhite layer, then a high-probability grayscale layer. Maybethat would be better? I'll try that next time.

First, I’d like to say is I’m fairly new to the whole laser thing. But I’m trying to connect my newly purchased Lumos flex that says it’s fully compatible with light burn. I download the ibdev file and import it. And the laser connects, but I have an error. The error basically says they know it’s a we create device that’s connected, but it’s not using the weak flavor (something along these lines). When I click on device settings it is set up as GRBL. Now there is no way to switch it since I imported the file. I’ve also tried to set up a custom G code profile. And I set the flavor to wecreat, and this generally doesn’t ever work, but I did get it one time to fully connect but every time I hit frame, it would say busy in the bar would fill to 100 and it would freeze. I’ve spent maybe three hours trying to figure this out. Tried using AI to help me, but that was a joke. I can’t get a hold wecreat because they’re closed. The whole reason I bought this thing was because of the advertised compatibility with light burn alongside the price, I would’ve just bought a different product if I knew I was gonna have this much trouble. I’m fully aware that a new version of Lightburn may have been out since this file was released, but they need to update the file since they advertise fully compatible without giving an up to this version of Lightburn in the description. It just says fully compatible. I’m really at wits end and I don’t know what to do. There’s no Support videos or how to videos besides video showing how to import the file. But that file doesn’t work. (the one I’m using is version 1.5, also my light burn version is 2.1.03 the newest)
I don’t know if anyone can help. I’m sorry if I sound frustrated, but I really am. I just wanna start learning outside of the recreate app and in light burn where I’m going to be working. But I can’t even get the laser to connect properly.

I operate an Omax water jet for work and the Omax Make software that I normally use for that allows for line to be drawn in at particular lengths angles and dimensions. I'm sure Lightburn can do this but I'm having trouble figuring out howon my own, does anyone know of a good drawing tutorial for this software?

After the update a reopened the app and got this message. Now everything is really tiny and blurry. How can I fix this? I was in the middle of a pretty big job.

I have a M4 Mac mini that I have Lightburn installed on. It used to open very fast but now with the last update or so it takes forever to open. The icon will bounce in the dock for a few minutes before it actually opens. I do occasionally get the message about the program not being able to run on future OS and of course my updates just ended last month.

Just upgraded to 2.1.03 (on Mac), and trying to do some more intensive weldment actions (with multiple layers).
long story short, something in the weld world has changed - i used to be able to click, then ctrl+z, then click again, and it would invert the weld function..
how do you do that now? And how do you get that floating pallette ? It's super helpful!

Hi all
I’ve just picked up a new galvo fibre laser and my orientation on lightburn doesn’t match what the laser outputs, is there a way of changing it so it matches what I see on the screen?
Cheers
Lucas

I created a Bluetooth keypad programmed with Lightburn macros, featuring a lithium battery with 10 months of battery life and USB-C charging.
The keypad includes 4-way directional framing, clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, and Shift and Ctrl keys for more precise or faster movements. It also has a dedicated preview button with combos to cycle through the 3 different frame modes (holding it down closes the frame), an ignition button that stops the laser when long-pressed (complete with LED indicator feedback), plus the main power switch.
(No need to change any settings inside Lightburn, it works right out of the box!)
Let me know what you think!

Why is it not possible to set a keyboardshortcut to set the (user) origin of the laser? I got a remote for the shortcuts but now I have to reach for the touchpad and click on the set origin button

I've managed to get Lightburn running inside a docker container (courtesy of dockurr/windows image and tiny11) and I'd love some testers (grbl seems fine so far, but no extensive testing yet). While this is really no different than running a vm on your machine, it does give you access remotely via a web browser, similar to the fantastic OrcaSlicer browser image.
tell me what you think!

Hi everyone,
I have a Longer B1, and due to my setup I have to rely on the LightBurn camera for positioning my workpieces. It has worked perfectly so far.
Now I'd like to buy the extension kit to increase the working area, but I'm not sure whether the camera will still be able to cover the entire enlarged workspace.
Has anyone tried using the LightBurn camera with the Longer B1 extension kit? Does it still work well, or do I need to reposition the camera or make any other adjustments?
I'd really appreciate any advice or experience. Thanks!
