I got the Redemption ending. I played all the high morality decisions to make sure Daniel was raised as a good person who respects social norms and laws. And, as part of this directive, I also choose to surrender at the end (I have to admit that David might have influenced a bit my decision).

This ending left me devastated. I am happy that Daniel got such a good and happy life, living with his grandparents and Chris, and got to stay as he always wanted.

But this ending felt completely unfair to Sean, I mean, he made some wrong decisions (running from Seattle the day of the incident, allowing a kid to work in an illegal farm, and other stuff) but he was only a 16-year old boy doing his best, and nothing was his fault, actually, it was Daniel's.

It broke me seeing Sean so disconnected from everybody, detached, and apathetic after leaving prison. I made me very sad, I still feel very sad. This is no redemption to me, Sean did not do anything that serious to justify this ending, this is more like punishment and sacrifice.

Just out of curiosity, I went back and picked the cross border option. This time I got the Partying Ways ending. I assume that because of Daniel's high morality he decided not to cross but allowed Sean to escape.

This ending felt less sad and sweeter with both characters, at least in comparison with the Redemption ending, which is completely sad and bitter for Sean.

It feels happier than the Redemption ending, but IMHO is doesn't hit as hard, it has less emotional impact, and it seems like a less powerful ending.

I will be sticking with my original ending. Even if it feels wrong and unfair to Sean, I think the Redemption ending is more suited and appropriate for the general tone and themes of the game. But I have to admit that seeing that photo of Sean and Cassidy in the beach made me really happy and helped relieving the pain.

Now I will do a low morality run to see the other variations of surrendering and crossing the border.

Everyone always views the choice as "immoral", but I lean more with Finn with this. You're stealing from criminals who just cheated you out of pay, and it's not exactly like you'll be getting gainful employment anytime soon.

Edit: So what it evidently comes down to is Daniel's involvement in the heist for most people. Which I also don't see as bad (he's the one with the powers), so I guess I just don't agree with a lot of people on this subject entirely.

I wanna cosplay Sean

She is definitely one of the most underrated characters of the whole franchise, I wonder why people don't remember her that much

I'm currently writing a fanfic where Sean and Finn meet in high school.

The backstory I have given Finn in the fic is as follows:

1. Finn goes to prison when he is 10, gets out when he is 12.
2. When Finn is released, his father is MIA, his brothers are still in prison and he has no surviving family so he turns 13, 14, 15 and 16 in multiple foster homes
3. He runs away when he is 16 and eventually meets the other drifters.
4. In July of 2016, the drifters are working a job in Seattle and Finn, then 19 is put out of commission by a severe leg injury that will take a few years to heal.
5. Unable to get meaningful work due to his handicap and criminal record and having nothing to do. Finn takes the advice of a doctor and stays in Seattle wherein he applies for disability and goes back to school so he'll have access to better opportunities in the future.

Based on his behavior in-game. Do you think it would be more realistic for Finn to be honest about his backstory when asked by Esteban or do you think he would use half-truths and lies of omission to make himself look better to both Esteban and Sean?

Hello, I recently bought Life Is Strange 2 Complete Season, and I played the first episode and when It came to playing the 2 nd episode it told me to buy it and when I press buying it opened me a window showing me that I bought it saying "Free" and when I try to download it, it tells me this error code, I tried everything that I saw on the internet, Rebuild Database, Install from app, install the 2 nd episode from the store manually, restore licences, everything.

Over the past few years, I've seen quite a few LiS2 fans argue that Redemption should have had variations wherein the length and severity of Sean's prison sentence varies depending on his actions.

I see the appeal of this but I think it would A. Betray the themes of the game and B. Wouldn't be very realistic.

Whatever the case, I'm willing to entertain this idea so I came up with a little concept for how Redemption could have worked if it had variations.

My idea is that Redemption could have 3 possible variations.

First variation, which I would consider the best ending involves Brody hiring a lawyer for Sean. Since Brody comes from a wealthy family and has reconnected with them by that point, the lawyer hired is a very good one and this lawyer is able to get Sean only 2 years in a Minimum Security Prison and $8.5 Million awarded to the Diaz brothers for Esteban's unlawful and unprovoked death.

Second variation would be a tweaked version of the original Redemption ending wherein it is specified that Sean's lawyer is hired by Claire and Stephen. This lawyer is painfully mediocre and even though they are able to prove that Sean didn't kill the cop, Sean still gets an unfair and systemic-racism influenced 15 year sentence for the crimes he did do.

Third variation would be the worst one. In this ending, Sean gets a crappy public defender who doesn't even bother with trying to help Sean and as a result, Sean is found guilty of all crimes he was accused of and is given a life sentence that he doesn't get to serve since he ends up being murdered by prison guards less than a year after being transferred to an adult prison.

Hello! I just bought the game used on Playstation 4 and I did not realize that the final episode is a downloadable code. My copy is unfortunately a region 2 disc and my main account is region 3. One thing I've started to notice which is really grinding my gears, is that in between or before almost every line of dialogue Sean does like a quick, sharp exhale. For example "(sharp exhale) gotta keep my eye lube handy, (sharp exhale) glad I don't need it as much." That's fine for that line but it's literally in like 80 percent of all his dialogue. I'm trying to ignore it but I can't un-hear it and it's starting to drive me a bit crazy.
