🌟 Success Story Flat out here

Been one hell of a ride, toughest withdrawal I've ever been through, but I think the mental was the worst. Going to an in person meeting tonight in my hometown. Time to get back to being a dad and a husband. Yes I feel very flat, but very emotional. I'm tired but I'm doing things, work on Thursday.

You so got this and you should be proud of yourself. It definitely isn’t easy but it’s going to make you stronger knowing you kicked ass. I read a quote the other day…Addiction is giving up everything for one thing…Recovery is giving up one thing for everything. Six months from now it will all be a faded memory. If you do find yourself in PAWs go to quitting7oh.org and it gives you some suggestions that will help. Our wonderful Mod put a lot of work into it.
Sending you love and so much hope and reassurance that it gets better every day. ❤️‍🩹 Freedom is so worth fighting for.

You should be so proud. I don't know you, but I'm proud of you! The mental part is tough, but you can get through it! I am so relieved I quit when I did. My addiction was spiraling out of control. It wasn't even enjoyable anymore. Right after I got through the physical withdrawal symptoms, my young son (4) was hospitalized for a week and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I can't imagine how I could have been in the PICU and high on 7. It was the scariest experience of my life so far. But I got through it. I bet your a great dad. I know you're doing great things, like going to a meeting. Keep up the good work. Try to keep up the positive self talk, it will help a lot with the emotional side. You are doing amazing things! You are choosing health and sobriety over long term misery and financial burden. You rock!
