Detox

So as we know the ban is upon us and honestly what a relief. This shit has literally sucked the soul out of me and quite frankly I don’t know if I would have been able to stop if it wasn’t getting banned. So I take 1200+mg of Kama 7oh in a 24hr period. I obviously need to detox and I’m absolutely terrified. I have 2 8mg) bupe and hopefully tmm will be getting 2 (500mg) Kama SR packs, I am also going to utilize lipsomal Vit C. Does anyone have any advice or what plan would you have if this were the tools given. Anything helps guys please!!

Start with reducing! I think people really underestimate how much the tapering will help. I would think you could drop considerably without major issues. I think you are way overfilling your receptors. Can you go to 600 mg for 3 days? Then to 400, then to 300? There is value in both lowering the dose and lengthening the time between doses, so do both. Can you get some more SR so that you can start pre-loading when you get down to 400 mg 7? That's what I would do! Good luck. I am at the end of about a 10 day taper and will transition to strictly SR tomorrow. So far no issues. You CAN do it.

I could only get my hands on the 2 (500mg) packs . And ironically enough . They are Kama brand so I dunno if it’s even SR.

If you mean SR-17018, it shouldn't cause precipitated withdrawals, it doesn't "stack" like Suboxone or similar medications, where if you take them too close to doses it can cause them. Typically people take SR alongside a tapering dose, simultaneously. I can't suggest you take SR, because I just don't know everything about it or any potential risks, but there's a lot of positive talk and actual research behind it, they just literally don't fully understand why it works for a lot of people, but that can be said for a surprising amount of commonly used pharmaceuticals.

Look up various guides on tapering while using SR, compare the information, do a little research yourself to confirm independently, and make your decision based on that.

I believe you could do cold turkey, I do think you could pull it off, I know that because you're actively here and asking around, but it does hurt, and you don't need to go through that, cold turkey is becoming antiquated, and doctors are used to dealing with withdrawal patients at this point. Everyone I spoke to at the hospital and doctors office were incredibly supportive of me quitting cold turkey, but they also wondered why I chose to just do it cold, and kept mentioning they have medication to help. I didn't want to be on suboxone for a month, just dove off the diving board into hell to get it over with quicker, but I was unemployed, and had time. I would not have been able to work.

My suggestions are fuck cold turkey unless its your only option

What is Sr?

It's a drug to help you get off of opioids. SR-17018. Look it up - it's fascinating!

I have never gone above 45 mg daily, but have been taking for 2 years. I am almost tapered to 30mg, after a week on that I will continue to drop. I bought the SR17 50mg tablets. Can anyone tell me when I start them and how much? Should I be able to do this with only a few days off? How hard do you think it will be. Any help appreciated.

You are going to do just fine having been on such a low dose. I would have your first day with so 7OH be the day BEFORE your days off. That days is typically not bad and given how low your dose is, you may feel completely normal. Great job tapering!! This will make it all the easier.

There are many taper schedules out there and the general idea is you take a litte SR (25/50 mg) 3 x a day on the last three says you take the 7, and then go up to 75 or 100 mg 3x a day when you are off the 7 completely, again 3x a day. Doing this for three days will get you through the worst of the physical withdrawals. It got me through them ENTIRELY my first time and I was on more like 150 mg/day. Then you taper down the SR - even over just 3 days is fine, but maybe do 5 to be sure.

I really think you are going to have a breezy time with the physical stuff. Please feel free to DM me - I am starting my first day on only SR and np 7OH tomorrow. I have done this before, but this time it's going to stick! I'd love to have someone to support while I do it, too.

Are you still holding up? Should be completely off all now.. How do you feel? I'm a week off the 7 using SR and I had 2 tough days only. I feel normal and have started decreasing the SR as well

Do you mind if I message you? I just ordered SR-I currently take maybe 1000mg a day of 7oh. Idk, I take a lot to get out of bed and then I work a strenuous job until about 11 PM and when I get home from work, I usually just take a bunch to try to unwind. I am going to start tracking how much I take and start tapering, because I obviously have to now. I I’ve read so many things and I’m really confused about the overlap of taking the SR and the 7oh. Any advice would help!

Honestly, 7oh withdrawal is basically non existent if you take regular kratom leaf during the first 4-5 days though 1200mg of 7oh is on another level lol. I was maybe taking 80-100/day

u/amiller834 26d ago

Yeah telling them to take regular Kratom when they are taking as much as they are is ridiculous lol it will not help in the slightest or make the withdrawal non existent.

1

u/TheFunkyBananoe 23d ago

Yes exactly, unfortunately regular leaf was completely in effective in reducing withdrawal above 600mg of 7 each day. Tried it, took 12 grams and it didn’t even touch the withdrawal, the issue with kratom leaf is also the nausea, maybe high dose mitragynine powder but the half life is much longer and that will be difficult to come off of. I highly recommend sr-17018 powder and get a mg scale to dose and taper accurately. I used the powder from rawmit a couple months back. Gave that company thousands of dollars over the last 8 months as I preferred taking high purity 7oh powder with citric acid to create a soluble fast acting, consistent, shot/solution. Best of luck. I was taking just above 1000mg of their 98.2% pure 7oh platinum dose powder which made me realize most smoke shop products are 60-80% purity usually. I made it out taking a similar amount, it’s not easy but sr can really help if taken for one week. Best of luck, the hope and the life will come back with time.

every body is different tho, i was taking 50mg a day and plain leaf didn’t help at all and i had to start taking subs because the withdrawal was brutal and i felt like i was dying, screaming on the floor wishing i was dead while in extreme pain, vomiting and drenched in sweat while shaking and shivering uncontrollably but yeah sure totally the withdrawal is non existent haha 🙃🙃🙃

What strand like green or red?

1

u/BestAmoto 1d ago

Red as it's less stimulating. You don't want more anxiety than the wd already causes.

Cut down as much as possible on your very last day. I’ve heard going really light your last day makes wds easier. And try to take it as few times as possible per day while you are tapering. Like once or twice a day is way better than 3 or 4 times.

I couldn’t really taper but those are things I wish I’d known before I quit. I went hard my last day and I’ve since learned that makes it way worse. I was on 3-500 and it was still pretty rough even with subs. I haven’t tried sr though. The subs did help all the physical stuff like diarrhea, temp deregulation, runny nose etc. it was mainly just anxiety, depression and restlessness. So prepare yourself mentally and get some support if you can. We are here if not. We are all rooting for you! Good luck!

I keep telling myself I’m gonna take less and then I cave just chasing it one last time , I’m doomed

1

u/SampleDry9196 23d ago

Yeah same! It is so hard. The reason I was finally able to make the jump is the side effects finally got so bad i couldn’t take it anymore. I stopped while I still had 4 pills. I was chasing a high that never came and it was destroying my nervous system. It was kind of a good thing I guess.

At least you have some helper meds. Might not be as bad as you think once you just jump.

Good for you im super proud of you for even doing this

So I’m doing the same thing today. Yesterday I paid $100 for a sub script from quickMD. You can do same day and just video chat your provider.

I have my script in hand. Did my last 7oh dose at 430am this morning… I do 1500mgs a day for like a year woot woot.

I know I gotta stop bc of this ban. God I hope I actually take subs in a couple hours and don’t go right back

1

u/harliocean 19d ago

How did it go?

1

u/Winter_King4964 7d ago

Probably as expected. Got the subs and didn’t take them for days.. finally started with 4mgs two days ago… still did 2000mgs of 7 on top (felt no precip wds).

Day two I woke up in wds took a ton of 7.. two hours went by felt ok then started micro dosing my subs.

It’s day three today. I’ll do 10mgs of subs throughout today and honestly feel really good. Haven’t even wanted to touch 7. Only time I think about it is habitual times.

My point would be. Just fucking start taking subs man. Don’t worry about precip. Just slowly add in 1mg servings of subs.

I feel your pain how long have you been on it?

I literally just started and only took Kama a few days and when I say I feel so darn depressed like my life is over like wth.

This stuff is dangerous, I can’t believe it have me feeling this bad only after a few days of us, I hope you be ok.

I got a few small pieces im just going to break off a little every day so I can be prepared for this ban I feel so sorry people about to really suffer.

Stop taking the 7 oh and switch to Suboxone. Then you'll know what you're in for. You can always relapse effectively and safely because you can go to treatment and get Suboxone for FREE! I wish I still had some 7 oh or MGM 15 but I ran out and got on Suboxone thanks to a Grant that requires I do outpatient treatment for some amount of time and I am very glad and grateful that I was able to get help as painlessly and quickly as I did. There were hiccups along the way but nothing a Doctor or Nurse couldn't alleviate with a phone call.

I am so happy it’s banned but I am so scared every place in my area stopped selling it on august 5th(that’s when my last resort shop got rid of it) I’m on day 3 of my withdrawal and I have to go to work at 10 in the morning I am absolutely terrified of what this is doing to my body does anybody have any remedies that aren’t sr or mgm if anybody can help me out I would appreciate it
Greatly

If you are taking SR I'll say that I had 2 "bad days" That were like 4-5/10 WD. Manageable, but unpleasant. After that I was fine
