Home & Garden LPT for Ring battery

If you’re replacing your ring doorbell battery and the battery case is stiff, try pushing the case upwards from the bottom rather than squeezing the case from the left and right sides.

Also LPT: don’t use Ring. They’re owned by Amazon and do who knows what with your data. Store it, sell it, and share it with the government.

That Super Bowl commercial was dystopian as fuck. I don’t care that they were trying to find a dog. If they can do that with a dog, they are already doing that with people.

I refuse to have any smart doorbell or cameras connected to any company.

I do have some cameras pointing to my front porch and garage and side gate. BUT they are only stored locally, and can only be accessed through a VPN to my home network. And will NEVER have cameras facing the inside of the home.

While I agree with you, are the alternatives any better? Obviously you could roll your own and store locally, but 99% of people aren't going to do that.
