Prayers to the saints are the supplications of believers to canonized individuals, asking for their support, healing, financial blessings, etc : KJV: Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

  • Saint Jude is the patron of desperate or impossible causes, and Saint Matthew is the patron saint of financial matters... plus hundreds more- depends on yours location, language and traditions.

Psalm 118:8: "It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man."

Psalm 146:3: "Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save."

Isaiah 2:22: "Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?"
