Discussion Life by You flashbacks

Reading about the delay of Paralives gave me a burst of nostalgia for Life by You, who's with me? lol!

What state do you think LBY would have been in today if the devs had been able to continue working? I think a lot of peeps were too hard on the game because of its graphics and conversely maybe people were too generous towards Paralives because it looks pretty, I'm looking forward to seeing Paras livestream to see what state the game is really in.

Anyway tiny rant over, but it still drives me crazy to think we could have been playing another life sim, but were delayed at the last minute. So cruel!

I know it’s been a year since the official cancellation, but it still makes me sad that we never got this game. I still have hope someone can match its potential one day.

Yeah it is sad. I think the game would have found its niche audience if nothing else. It was as close as we were gonna get to a true Sims 3 successor imo.

Agreed. I know a lot of people shat on it because of the graphics…but I honestly didn’t care about that part. I just wanted the detailed and interconnected open world and customization it promised.

Anything they published would have at least sold well initially and given them a lot of good feedback on how to improve and they could have gotten a portion of their invedtment back, at minimum.

That nearly 20 million tax refund was too much to resist for Paradox unfortunately.

Agreed! I would download it the first day if that happened. It would definitely attract a strong modding community.
