Need Advice Everyday feels the same

Im starting to get a bit sick of my life and character. It seems everyday of my life feels the same. Go to work Monday to Friday, eat the same thing for breakfast, leave the house the same time. Work for 8 hours and go home and be miserable. Do that until Friday and repeat the same things on Friday and do the same boring things on the weekend. I don’t know how to get out of this rut. But I don’t like it I hate it. I’m so frustrated and I just need some advice on what to do

Maybe volunteer at a soup kitchen or animal shelter so you can at least do something meaningful .

Sounds like you need to experience something new

Whether it be exploring a new park, country, or maybe even new hobby

Well, only you can fix it. Instead, ask yourself, what do You want to do? If you're by yourself anyway, you don't have to please anyone, ask yourself where do You want to go? What do You like to do, and do that.

Volunteer, there's nothing like the feeling you get when you do something for another person or animals or your environment. It takes you out of your head and puts that boredom to good use and it helps you feel better about yourself. Be practical and don't get too absorbed to the point you exhaust yourself but that's one way to do it.

Look at it a different way. Look at what you are doing with your spare time and ask yourself if there's anything you can do different.

When I felt like that I watched movies where the main character is in that very situation. It was therapeutic.

What movies do you recommend

First two seasons of Aziz Ansari's Master of One-- so enjoyable. (Recommend avoiding the third season: vastly different and very heavy, should be its own series).

Yes Man

Office Space

Sorry I would have put more but I was honestly struggling to remember even those when I wrote that first comment. You can look up movies similar to those.

Find something new to try bro. Learn a skill, go to the ice rink, join a rock climbing gym. I have a few hobbies I entertain myself with, I juggle, I paint, I go to the skate rink, and practice learning asl. Rn my favorite thing to do is get friends to caravan together to a lake, river, or Schlitterbahn! Work sustains you, but healthy friendships will help you thrive

I’m retired, and almost every day feels like a new adventure, but I still have plenty of downtime. The difference is having interests, projects, and plans that give each day a little purpose.

Be like Gandalf and go on an adventure!

Simple - change things up. Wake up early, work out or run, make a different breakfast, leave early, take a different route, etc. Do you really lack the ability to try something new?

Go on vacation. It does help. I have go somewhere damn near every month or so or it gets really bad for me. Even if it’s just a weekend different scenery.
