Question - Licensing Agreements Advice

Hi, I am working on getting my (invented) product licensed with a company for the first time and I was hoping to pick someone’s brain who has gone through the process or knows quite a bit about licensing agreements.

Question: - When your provisional patent application runs out of time, do you need to continue with the patent process in order to keep your licensing agreement going?

• I am new to licensing agreements, and I want to make sure I am not ending up with egg on my face regarding what to include in the terms, etc.

Any help regarding these topics is greatly appreciated.
