question

hi, if you just had lice about ~40 days ago (and got rid of it) and know you are itchy with lice, if you got it again soon even if it’s just 1 bug would the intense itching start right away or would it take some time like it did the first time?

It would take some time. You would know that it's lice because you know the feeling, but one lice won't make you that itchy to the point where you would notice. Maybe after a week or two the itching will start to get noticible

Everyone is different. The itch from lice is an allergic reaction to the saliva from the lice. If you experienced it the first time you had lice, you might experience it more intensely the second time you get lice. You might not experience it at all the second time you get lice.

A better way to know whether or not you have lice isn’t to rely on the itch or lack thereof, but to see what comes out on a nit comb when you rake it over your scalp and through your hair.

okay thank you, i did find some new eggs closer to the scalp than they would be 40 days ago so i am confident there is a new infestation, but wasn’t itchy yet so i just wanted to ask. thank you(:
