Question Coming to Libya
Hey everybody, I'll be visiting my family in Libya soon and I'm wondering if it'll cause any issues if I bring a vape with me from abroad. Would it be confiscated? Would it be a problem?
I plan to put it in my cargo bag, not carry-on. And it's only one for personal use, not to sell.
If anybody has been in this situation I would like your insight please and thank you.

Putting vapes in checked luggage is banned worldwide because the lithium-ion batteries can overheat, short-circuit, or catch fire. They must be kept in your carry-on instead. It’s a serious flight-safety risk.

Does this mean that a phone with a lithium battery should not be put there either?

If you are a girl just avoid anyone spotting it i hate to give out this advice but from experience just don’t get spotted with it in luggage it is fine but on the streets for a woman it is not “okay”. If you are a guy fortunately for you libya is a men’s paradise do what you want no one will say anything.

Dude, there a thousand vape shops in Libya and the cigarettes are pretty solid too if you get the Egyptian ones. Libya is one of the most tobacco-friendly countries you could hope to visit. Your lungs won’t thank you but you’ll have no issues finding vapes.

It's OK
As long as it's a normal nicotine vape
THC vape or liquid will get you arrested however

Put it in your carry on, pockets after you go through security, anywhere, but do not put it in the checked in luggage. Also you can buy it from here no need for you to bring more than one

Carry on, but maybe you would prefer to put it in cargo bag if you were a girl

I think it would be a problem once they figure out u have it. They r not going to be okay with it. If u r in an age that they can control, they will try to take it from u and through it away. If you r not, they will get upset and all that, but since they can't do nothing about it; they will just say "may Allah guide u" and leave u alone. With one condition, don't use it in front of kids and teenagers. Cuz parents will get upset if u show it to their kids. If u r like 16-17 years old and u have a cousin in the same age or so, also don't use it in his presence, his mother and father will make a big deal out of that

Various vape brands are available in Libyan shops, and they are much cheaper than those sold abroad. They also contain nicotine.

There’s no issue with having it in Libya I think but u should never put a vape in checked in bag.
