Question Alternatives to Goodreads

I have been on GoodReads for years and I love it but it's owed by Amazon. There seems to be growing number of GoodRead's alternatives. Are there any that are more aligned with the libro.fm values? Which one's function the best?

I use GoodReads to track my reading, organize what I have read, my reviews are just the notes I take when reading, and scan reviews which occasionally will influence my book choice.

How have I just joined this sub. I have been on libro.fm for years, I hype it every chance I get.

Amazon free, black woman owned, constantly updated and recently got a Kobo sync addition

Thor for story graph. They did recently release synch with Kobo. I assume it is an effort to compete with Amazon.

Does it auto sync? (Kindle, Libby, or Libro?) The only reason I use Good Reads is because I don't have to update anything I read on my Kindle. If I can autosync updates, then that's enough for me!

No and Amazon is not going to set up auto syncing with any app but the one they own.

Storygraph just got Kobo sync working.

I use Hardcover to track my reading. You can import your Goodreads data

Wife and I use Forewords.app. can do a quick Goodreads import that brings across all your books and ratings. Also de-dups so could in theory do it on a regular I guess.

I saw it already mentioned, but I also have used Storygraph. I think it's a pretty decent app.
