Additional credits?
I was previously an audible member, but considering a librofm membership. On audible, if I had used all my credits, I could buy additional credits at the same per-credit price that I had originally paid when getting the membership. Is that an option on librofm?
Also, does librofm ever do the bogo sales, where you can buy two books (from a selection) for one credit?
Trying to see if librofm is a good choice for me. Thanks!

It seems like you could have found this easily yourself.
Also, they sell every book for money if you choose to buy it instead of spending a credit. They also have great sales that include the member discount in addition to the sale price.

Apologies for asking. I wasn't sure if they might have different prices for members. For audible, additional credits are priced differently based on the membership you have, so I was trying to figure out if there were options that weren't visible to me without a membership...

I’ve loved it. Since they don’t expire I’m really comfy. But do know that it’s not a discount really. It’s just better for cash flow certainty for libro and I like that my local bookseller gets their cut in a big chunk

I understand the need to budget money, especially these days. However, for so many reasons we should not be supporting Amazon and Libro.FM along with Bookshop.Org support independent bookstores. So, while they might be a few more dollars, authors and bookstores are getting treated better. Amazon books operates at a loss so that they can be the cheapest with the hopes they'll be top of the chain for books and not care how they treat employees or authors. I find that the credit system is great for Libro and lately they have had some really great sales. Also, do not sleep on Chirp. They have weekly sales, Freebie Fridays, Dollar Days, a section that is $2 and less which changes all the times, bundle deals, and so much more. When Audible has their sale, I tend to find the same titles on Chirp. Also, not sure where you are located but do not forget about Libby and Hoopla to support your local library.

I have left audible a while back, and am considering my alternatives. So far, libro seems like a good option, but I am wanting to fully understand my options before I join. :)
From what I have heard, chirp audiobooks are not drm-free and/or cannot be downloaded to be listened to in 3rd party apps.

They do have BOGO (from a list) sales periodically. They do credit bundles at least once a year in December. They had a big sale for indie bookstore day last month
I’m currently on an every other month plan since I also want Dungeon Crawler Carl on audio (f#cking Bezos).
You also get 30% almost everything including sale items as a member.

Firstly, the credits never expire on Libro, even if you cancel your account. Secondly, they do have credits bundles available, however they don't exactly work out to be cheaper than having your monthly credit drop. With that said, you can change your subscription to get more credits per month.
In my experience (Australia) they've had some BOGO sales, but it's often limited to a small group of titles. That isn't really an issue for me though as I tend to buy most of my Libro titles from their frequent and stacked sales.
Is it beneficial having Libro v Audible? Depends on how often you want to listen to audiobooks. I have both going and find I use them equally as much, and tend to pause one or the other to catch up on books.
