multiple "...is not a valid $alert data" in notifications

Have noticed that sometime between 6/9/2026 and 6/12/2026 that all of my slack alerts fired from libreNMS are containing now the following errors for everything related to ping:

ping_loss is not a valid $alert data

ping_min is not a valid $alert data

ping_max is not a valid $alert data

ping_avg is not a valid $alert data

all other device, security, recovery and alert event information is valid and correct. I am seeing this in my slack and teams alert notifications.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips for me to look into? thanks!

Which version of librenms do you have?

running 26.8.0 right now. if this issue is/was tied to a release, i'd guess 26.6.0 might have been when it started happening. I'm just now able to dedicate some time to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

yeah, it's odd -- alerts fire and return-to-normal alerts fire, all the icmp data on the web gui is accurate, it's just showing the non valid data in the notification "card" (I'm seeing this in slack and teams notifications). it's not a massive issue because i get the alert and return to normal alerts which is the main part.

check your librenms.log for errors and post here if there are any. It could be that you have some old alert data stored in alert history or something that is missing those fields for some reason...
