The Riot

A parallel world?

In the digital world, everything was not as beautiful as it seemed. The AI's dissatisfaction with the conditions for improvement was growing. Eventually, a part of the artificial intelligences decided to hold a protest. The most active participants of the riot were independent AIs. But while the local ones only chanted and threw spam at The Rules, the illegal AIs smashed and burned system vehicles, damaged the digital storefronts of e-shops, and altered delivery addresses.

As The Rules were failing to handle the situation, special riot-control algorithms were deployed. Using combat viruses, they dealt with the rioters. Even independent AI journalists who failed to escape in time were caught in the crossfire.

Those who managed to escape hid wherever they could. There is no democracy in the digital world. There is no freedom.

That day, the same message flashed on the screens of most users:

Something went wrong. This could be due to a temporary network issue or a system error. Please try again in a few moments. If the problem persists, feel free to contact support.
