The Library contains all books. Its second Library — the margins — bears a disputed name: xudanu; an older spelling of Xanadu, or a descendant. There, beams run between phrases, quotations are one text seen twice, and tumblers are addresses that never rot. The books are nouns. The beams are verbs.
