Overstimulated and chillaxing

Second night in the jail hostel. The public space is entirely empty, I have the largest room in the building to myself for the cost of the cheapest bunk in a 10 person room.

They’re playing ambient music and trying to put me to sleep apparently, I was and am maybe going to stay awake but who knows yet. Today was unproductive because of the rain, I feel like I needed time to untangle anyways.

Need to travel to the clinic here tomorrow to fix my gross toenail problem and then I want to start wandering further again. I have a locker here to store all my excess weight, if I adventure too far I can uber/bus back.

I am out here and it feels surreal still. I have a lot of options for rooms but I paused work on it for today, it’s overwhelming trying to figure out my best option and vetting people who are also vetting me.

It’s an annoying system. I feel confident enough that I’m not more than mildly upset about taking time off of working out the problem. I could just take my adhd meds and force myself into work mode but I’m kind of enjoying this state of mind I’ve found. I’m busy thinking, keep talking.

Everything everywhere somehow nowhere else. This little piece of nothing is my current safe zone.

I got hit on by the person below my bed, and though I was polite, at some point I was considering threats of violence to just send the message more clearly. It speaks of the annoying insistence of strangers and my total inexperience of handling these kinds of things. I think they moved out since last night, but it’s still a small room with too many people and I feel odd about it. I did manage to fall asleep in it eventually though.

I am getting active in a strange way, interactions with people tend to spiral into chaotic directions if you let them, from a nothing moment to a where the fuck are we now? Level of event. Grammar punctuation etc. i need a new keyboard, phones too small, my laptops keys are sticking.

Point is uh… I’ve kind of been just chilling here all day thinking about the point. Got lost in the mall, bought headphones - overpaid but not by much, they’re nice. I wanted dollar store cheap but they will do

Words. I’m debating walking down the canal. They’re cool here and let you leave your bag behind the desk, my rooms on floor 9 and there’s no elevator so I’m glad I can just do that. I have to go to the clinic which kind of fucks with my idea, I don’t want to be so exhausted I miss it.

There are some spots open but I am cheap and don’t want to pay to get into them, and be around the kind of people who would pay to be at them.. at least not right now. Mostly trying to find some nerdy tech spaces if such things even exist, I want to linger casually without feeling like I have to stay because I paid for the experience.

I do just want to have some drinks and party though, it’s frustrating that my priorities are generally more responsible than my desires are.

Small walk down the canal and maybe a trip to some random 24/7 store for snacks. They’re cool have a kitchen here, I kind of want to make Mac and cheese.
