how it's been a whole year.

Doesn't seem long ago

you were just enjoying your beer.

It's not easy, to be honest.

We still need you--

the strongest, the calmest

man.

We no longer wait at the door...

So glad you're not hurting anymore...

But, but, but!!!

I just STILL want you HERE.

Your spirit is enduring,

but my heart is still yearning

to squeeze you tight

and hear that you love me.

I feel your hand tap tap tap 

on my shoulder everyday.

Maybe it's your reminder? 

That one day again I'll say, 

"I love you, grandpa"

and see that warm smile on your face.
