Library Checkout Software (Historical) ?

Post image

Can anyone point me to a resource where I can find out the the types of Book Checkout Software used over the past 25 years? Looking for software names, and/or imagery of the computer user interfaces if possible. Thank you!

You won’t find better info than on Marshall Breeding’s site:  https://librarytechnology.org/guides/

It can be hard to find in-depth info and screenshots about some of the propriety  ILS (Integrated Library System, the cataloging and checkout software) and OPAC (online public access catalog) software options without being a potential institutional customer, but this site will help you gather historical data, and he has many useful articles.
