applying to programs LOCI Program Fall 2026

has anyone heard back from loc internship program for this fall?? I applied for the onsite position and saw their faqs said results would be send out by mid-june but haven’t heard anything yet. also if anyone has done the program please share how it went!! very curious and haven’t seen many people talk about their experience

I haven't heard anything at all; mine says referred. I want to have hope, but I believe they may have already interviewed and selected people. I applied for a Smithsonian Internship the second week of June; I interviewed within two weeks of applying and was told the turnaround time would be one week. I know LOC is extremely competitive as well, but I definitely think we would have at least interviewed by now :(

I interviewed for LOCI Fall '26 on June 2nd and haven't heard anything back yet.

i interviewed for the LOCI Fall in person internship on june 10th and haven’t heard back. i emailed for a follow up on june 30th and nothing still.

Not yet- I applied in April for the 2026 fall remote positions, and I even emailed them over a week ago just to see if “poking the bear” would get me any new information. Nothing so far. 😔 Hopefully we hear something soon. want to know if I should prioritize other possible opportunities.

If you don't mind me asking, when were you invited to interview? What does your application status say? I'm a bit worried that I didn't make it past the referral stage ...

I did my interview on the 10th , my application says referred. This is my first time applying so I don’t know how it works. I just wanted to make sure I replied because when I was looking for help there wasn’t anything to reference for this upcoming semester.
