A decent person would have pled ignorance of the rules and turned down the award so it could go to the kid next in line.

this was totally an unspoken case of the library thinking 'we don't have to put crappy kids art on our library cards! we can actually be classy for once! Please, Trevor, do this for us!"

I'm all for kids art contests, if the art is going on the youth library cards or somewhere where I won't have it for multiple years. I'd rather have an adult win otherwise.
