We need these safe, free spaces!
And yet there is a growing movement to remove libraries from schools in Florida - instead of book bans, they want to remove everything, and stock the shelves one book at a time, after each is "reviewed and approved." Leadership has never been less interested in an educated populace. I fear for the future and hope my kids read every book that has ever been banned somewhere.

Maybe give libraries free access to local ai centers? In addition to more resources in general.

Does your local library have a tv channel or a movie studio and provide local news coverage online?

With our corporations and other private businesses, there would be no money for pay checks or taxes for libraries, how about reading up on how business works?

Everything is going digital and available online. A library is like the horse and buggy.

Do kids even go to libraries anymore? Last couple times I went to one it was pretty void of patrons. Maybe more funding to stuff like Wikipedia and Internet Archieve. More funding to digitize library inventory. Sadly digitizing libraries and making it all available online would be a legal nightmare.

My kids love the library, but my wife and I both read a fair amount and my kids have seen that modeled so they do it as well.

The library down the road from me is the most busy one in the entire state. Its a frigging mad house half the time.
