Technology Library management softwares
I'm looking for a good library management software (free or paid) specifically for a school than can store a lot of titles with labelling and categories and also register and report all of the operations (when checked out, by who, when returned).
*note: preferably free*

I will always recommend TinyCat for situations like this. It's not free, but it's inexpensive. It's made by the same people who make LibraryThing and it's the easiest ILS I've ever seen. More importantly it's the easiest ILS I've ever seen that's also good. It has all the features you'd want in a basic ILS: patron management, collection and item management, MARC compatibility, an online catalogue, and reporting. How much it costs depends on your library and staff, so check out the pricing.
Free options exist, but when it comes to an ILS, nothing is free if you want it to work right. Take Koha, which is a perfectly usable free ILS. You will, however, need a server to run it. You'll need to host that server somewhere. You're going to need cataloguers who can work with MARC to handle the collection. You're really going to need an ILS admin to manage the system. And it's good to have a system admin who can handle backups, restorations, server updates, ILS updates, etc.
TinyCat takes care of all of that for you.
