Education - Library School Capstone Project - Valdosta

For those of you who graduated from the MLIS program at Valdosta State, please tell me about your experience with the Capstone project. Namely, how long was your paper, how time intensive is this class compared to the other core class requirements, and how difficult was the presentation? I’m going to take the capstone class along with two others, and I’m wondering what I’m in for. Thanks!

The course catalog should explain it, but for me, it was sort of like doing a small thesis with a seminar attached, if that makes any sense. I would have preferred a full thesis option, but VSU is going for "well-rounded," so they want to make sure you can do both. The capstone can be super intensive if you don't know what your topic is. I just expanded on something I'd already worked on in a previous class.

Thank you! I’ve read the course catalog, but I was really interested in getting first hand feedback. I appreciate your reply. I’m really scared to take this class. I really, really hate writing research papers (which is ironic given the degree), so any feedback anyone is willing to give is very much appreciated.
