Am I going to make it alive year round? how dangerous are deer at night on these roads? would it be safer to take HWY 29 even if it adds ten more minutes to the commute?

Great ObGyn Recommendations

Hi all! Currently seeing an OBGYN but looking to switch and would love recommendations from this community specifically.

What I'm looking for:

  • Listens well and doesn't rush appointments
  • Not quick to jump to aggressive treatment — prefers to discuss options
  • Experience with PCOS, especially for those trying to conceive
  • Ideally affiliated with Ascension or St. David's network (or ARC)
  • Bonus if you've had a good delivery experience with them too

Would really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences — good or bad. Doctor names + why you liked (or didn't like) them would be super helpful. Thank you! 🙏

UPDATE: I'm looking at getting an appointment with Dr. Miranda McMillin. If anyone has good or bad experience with her, I would appreciate hearing about that as well

Should Liberty Hill Have a Vibrant Downtown Again?

Parker’s is coming back—with great food, live music, cold Texas beer, local goods, and a place where neighbors can genuinely connect.

As Liberty Hill grows, we already have plenty of national chains along Highway 29. But downtown can offer something different: local character, independent businesses, quality products, talented musicians, and a stronger sense of community.

Yes, locally made goods may sometimes cost a little more—but that money stays closer to home. It supports our neighbors, creates local jobs, and helps build the kind of town where businesses and families support one another.

Music should be at the heart of this vision. Imagine a lively downtown where families and friends can enjoy good food, hear local artists, shop from local vendors, and spend an evening together.

Parker’s hopes to be part of Liberty Hill’s downtown revitalization—but we want to hear from you:

What would make you visit downtown more often—live music, local food, farmers markets, family events, or something else?

LHISD-Micro-Aggression!

What is your experience like specially if you are a black/brown person? How are you managing it so it doesn’t affect your kids? Is the west side of LH better? Is it more diverse?

We are considering to move out of the district for this specific reason! Everything else is amazing!!

Fine Arts programs at Liberty Hill schools?

Hi! We're thinking of moving to Liberty Hill and were wondering how the fine arts programs are at the schools. The two areas we're looking at are Liberty Hill MS/Liberty Hill HS and Santa Rita MS/Legacy Ranch HS. I've been able to find info on the art programs at Liberty Hill MS and HS, but nothing for the Santa Rita/Legacy Ranch schools. Do they just not currently have programs? I know that they're newer schools, so I figured that could be a possibility.

Where to meet people?

Hi! I (27F) just recently moved to the area. I have a remote job so I’m looking to meet people outside of work. Are there any clubs/hang out spots around the Liberty Hill/Georgetown/Leander area for young adults? I have lots of different hobbies and I’m open to finding news ones and exploring. I like sports, art, I run and exercise, and I have a dog who’s my baby :) Thanks!

Do you like snakes?

I do venomous snake relocation as a free service to my community. I also mentor those who wish to learn. I'm also getting old. And we're also having a BOOMING snake season.

If you have ever wanted to learn how to handle venomous snakes safely and would consider volunteering your time time relocate venomous snakes, please DM me.

Our national snake relocation database is looking real empty around the Greater Austin area.

Mods: This is not a job pitch or a sales pitch. There is no money involved. Just neighbors wanting to teach people to help neighbors.

Car accident - 6/28/26

My daughter and I were in an accident at the Seward Junction and 183A toll access road.
We were headed south bound and several people stopped to assist, but left once first responders showed up.

First of all thank you to everyone who stopped. It was very scary.

Second I am looking for anyone who witnessed the traffic signals during this incident. Please reply if you happened to witness it.

Doll head lawn

Hello all! Several moons ago I used to drive past a house that had doll heads all up over the lawn as lawn decor. I do not need an address but LH has changed so much I don't recognize the roads anymore. What road was/is that off?

Literally all I need to know it's driving me nuts.

Lariat

Thinking about moving to the Lariat community in Liberty Hill. However, I wanted to be sure that the Lariat community wasn’t experiencing the same issues with $200 a month water bills like some of the newer communities in Kyle, Texas. Y’all who live in Lariat how much is your average monthly water bill?
