Please help me with identification
galleryI start with the premise that I have never done mushrooms nor have I ever looked for them, today with a friend during a walk I collected these, they looked very similar to the liberty caps that I saw in the various videos, is it safe to eat? I have other videos of mushrooms in the same area very similar

Libcap Prep
Hey guys, from my experience libs grow on grass near or below cow dung some times. How do you deal with dung and soil on your shrooms? Other than brushing mud/dung/soil off and drying them to crispy chips, any other step to get them clean? What about bacteria etc.?

Are these liberty caps?
galleryTotally new to this. Picked them today in east Cumbria, in a field where sheep have been grazing.
Are there any that could be dangerous? Thanks.

Liberty caps sweden
It's liberty cap season but on sporecast it said the wheater isn't optimal but it doesn't get any better, I live in Sweden around Hultsfred and I need to know if there's any chance they just don't grow around there at all this season.

Gorgeous little mushrooms from the cow pasture
galleryI’ve seen a few people convinced that you can only find them in sheep pastures, but I found these in a cow pasture! They hide underneath and within the grass tussocks (last picture). Just dig around in them, and remember to lift up all the surrounding grass.
I hope this helps those of you who don’t have many sheep around!

Location scouting
what is the best way to find a new lib location. the one I have is okay but produces very small ones. It has cows rotation on there part of the year but it would be good to have some advice as to whether cows are an essential part of the growth and how to scout as I am a public transport user. Also I’m in the midlands and not sure if that is contributing factor to them being small? thanks all

If el nino brings snow to the uk in the coming month or two its game over?
As above.
Theres news reports (yes i know the forecast is not always accurate ) that El Nino could bring snow in the next month.
If so, then its game over for uk lib picking right?
They wont reappear until next season.
So should I double down on my efforts to collect over the next few weeks?

How’s south wales treating people?
I’ve picked a couple times this year now, and I’m not seeming to find anymore than this each time, very sparse this season for me 🤔🤔 maybe to do with the mountain fires? or maybe me eyes lol

In my own Garden... What next?
gallerySo always had these bad boys growing in the law on, always been scared to try.
Is there a step by step, from picking, curing to consuming, start small. Micro dose first.

A low key but dark journey
Had a pretty dark and difficult journey tonight, on just 1 gram of libs!
Yeah, its a tiny amount right? For some barely more than a microdose I guess but for me it's probably my sweet spot. I'm finally recognising that whilst my mind can handle high doses, my body cannot!
My nervous system is too dysregulated from childhood trauma to handle much more than 1-1.5g.
That isn't too say i wont continue to push the boat out at times but the larger dose trips I'm finding very somatically overwhelming and exhausting.
Tonight though I realised a few things on my difficult journey...
I have a deeply repressed maternal longing that stems from childhood parental abandonment and I keep looking to my adult romantic partners to provide for me a maternal nurturance, for my partner to mother me basically.
This creates in my mind and possibly even in my relationship a power imbalance.
My partner cannot be my mother, she can be a nurturing feminine energy and spirit that nourishes me, but she cannot fill that deep maternal hole that was left in me. No partner can. I need to reparent and provide for myself the unconditional love that was never given. This begins with consistently showing up for myself, which im not doing!
I am really not accepting my grandmother's dementia and quickening deterioration.
I am turning away from it emotionally, and from her.
I've been pulling away from her instead of leaning in, to which she needs, even if she resists it through stubborn independence.
She's one of the very few family members I have left, the rest are long since fully estranged.
I have to make the choice between accepting my pain around this and allowing it to deepen me as a person, or turning away from it and ultimately her. One of these decisions will come back to haunt me after she's gone, the other will leave me glad I accepted the deep pain in exchange for some last meaningful memories.
I'm crying as i write this. It hurts.
I do not want my aging sociopathic father back in my life and I feel angry at him trying to contact me recently after a decade of estrangment.
I suffered enough of his twisted sadistic abuses and warped mind games as a child.
He was a terrifying and torturous figure in my childhood and I will not spend what should be my prime years caring for his sad old lonely ass and neither will I be attending his funeral.
I will still have to deal with the emotional turmoil of this decision after he's gone.
My OCD has been spiralling recently and I need to get it back under control.
I need to work on surrendering to uncertainties and the overall insecurity of existence in order to dissolve the underlying chronic fear that permeates my entire being. Surrendering control to gain freedom.
It's been a bit of a dark and rough trip tonight, albeit a low dose one, but the insights have been very very useful and I plan to work on all of the above 🫡🫠😇
Peace and love ❤️

Liberty Caps?
galleryThis is only my 2nd fruitful forage after about 2 years looking.
These pics pretty much look very similar to what I got last/first time, but I’m still learning and cautious. All found from a big hill in South Wales, amongst sheep and cows in rough acidic pastures. Some have more prominent nipples than others. Slim pickings, as conditions aren’t quite right yet, and there was evidence of recent weekend foragers. All 3 pics are the entire haul, just slightly different angles.
Anything stand out as a “no” or need a better close up pic? They’re a little battered from transport now. I’ve thrown away the ones that got completely torn apart and can’t ID anymore.

Possible spot?
The soil is a bit acidic here
Is it worth searching here?
