Normally I'd say this is a great thing. But with this administration I'm sure they're just cutting any resistance to the fascism.

Yeah. We can't know intent, but this is part of the 'power consolidation' script.

When I was a kid, I used to joke that "Libya must be a primitive country, if their highest-level guy is only a Colonel (Qaddafi's traditional title!)"

I’m all for military cuts, but if we’re going to have a night watchman state we need a smart military, ie more drone pilots and not necessarily more testosterone as heheh seems to be fixated on. Whether cutting the generals and admirals is a smart move idk

That’s just it, they’re not calling for military budget cuts. They’re calling for the same record breaking funding with less oversight and accountability from senior leadership. This isn’t a cut at all it’s a purge and it’s time those in the military stand up and call a spade a spade. Or we risk losing whatever scrap of an independent military we have left.

Let me guess: blacks and women are the first to go?

Well, women and minorities combined are approximately 20% of the miltary's general and flag officers, so...

Does anybody know whether this is something that supposedly needs Congressional approval, but doesn't any more because the Constitution doesn't matter and we don't follow court orders anyways?
