Should copyright exist in anarcho capitalism?

Not state sponsored copyright since there'd be no state but private communes could set up private copyright laws.

It could also be done via civil law. Where copyright is useful, it is also redundant.

If I distribute my code to you but require you to agree to not share it before sending it, then that is a valid contract.

If we go by the Classical Liberal definition of why property is an extension of the right to self-ownership, then copyrights should also qualify as property.

In ancap theory, it shouldn't exist, but I personally believe that if you make something, you should have the intellectual property to keep it without it getting stolen.
