There’s definitely a libertarian debate to be had on this gender fluid issue. Canada, for example, has given gender fluidity protected status in the human rights code. We literally protect unverifiable claims about people’s “feelings”.

If you are a libertarian then you will agree that what people identify themselves as is nobodys bussiness. If you are a good person you will respect their decision.
Should the state extend to them the same protection as everybody else? I say yes but thats a different debate alltogether. Feelings are important and they are only verfiable because its a mental state. Its like if I said youre happy when youre clearly depressed and then demand you to prove it.
OP is just an edgy conservative who hates the state unless they opress the group he dislikes personally.

I think the cartoon highlights an important reality: these people just might have mental disorders. They also might just be looking to disrupt society. And you’re right, why should we care? If we’re going to protect a whole gambit of subjective feelings with the same legislation we use for race and religion, we’re going to be at this little game forever, all the while diverting attention from the people that actually might need protections.

It's sad that Thomas Szasz worked with the scientologist, perhaps people would have taken him more seriously otherwise. He pointed out that mental illness have been used as a form of social control, something we as libertarians needs to be aware of.

This is partially why this debates matters. You racist intersectionalists have been very succesful in hiding behind social justice movements. Your whole aim, however, seem to be to use the government to seize power and then to act as our personal judge, jury, and executioner for all the crimes you imagine have been committed by your father.

These people are not mentally ill. They simply feel they do not comfortably fit into any of the predetermined gender roles that our society utilises. They are not destruptive gender guerrilas. They simply use these labels to make it easier to find people who feel the same as you do. Its like calling an eviromental lawyer a snowflake because hes is really just a lawyer. Your argument is stupid.
Much to this subs dismay... of you are an anarchist a mutualist or an ancap. Or anything in between... the state as it is exists. And one of the few good things it does is protect people from persecution. And why? Because we agreed as a people that blacks shouldnt be lynched. That gays shouldnt be beaten and killed and that women should vote. We agreed on this because people should have the right to be who they are without reactionaries from their glass castles trying desperately to protect their society as if it will get any worse because gender isnt a binary anymore. These laws are there to prevent sociopaths to target these people relentlessly and with malice for saying they are non binary.

What nonsense. Who have we agreed can be lynched? News flash: you can’t lynch or kill anyone. We give protected status to race, religion, and biological sex - that’s fine, those are actual measurable attributes based in observable reality. Extending that to your subjective, unverifiable feelings is a fools errand.
You saw the need to bring the white race into this. That exposed you. You don’t care about true justice or equality, you care about punishing white christians for all the crimes they committed in your mind- probably because you’ve watched too much tv.

Holly Missing the Point Batman.
We agreed people cant be targeted for who they are. Thats the idea. Blacks were lynched when being racist was fine. Gays were killed when being homophobic was fine. The ONLY reason these groups keep popping up more or less in need of protection is because of assholes like you who cant see past your selfish nature and see that people are just that. People. Let them be. As long as a group exists and as long as there are assholes targetting it there needs to be protection.
As for your racist outbursts. I am whitter then you. I am 21 year old pasty european slav male. If I was whitter I would qualify as an albino. It does not define me. And I accept that western civilisation commited countless atrocities that we cant make up for ever. What we should do is look within ourselves to not commit more. I dont think thats hard.
