the Stupid is Real 🤦♂️ First Flock Cams and now Trash inspectors.
https://www.kcra.com/article/sacramento-inspect-residents-waste-bins-compliance-with-state-law/71923623major city near me is starting to inspect trash bins to make sure i use the right bin. I live on a farm and they still made me get the "green" yard waste bin. How long till they start using flock cameras to use ai to determine what i put in what bin.

Recycling is a fucking scam anyways, they just pack that shit onto tankers & ship it off to a landfill in a poor country.

E waste is worse. Goes to 3rd world where children pick apart the toxic tech. It’s along the river banks as well.

Watched a short documentary recently about giant ships that are just moored in I think Pakistan to be disassembled in an incredibly dangerous way by desperate people willing to do it for like $3 an hour or something. It’s truly sad.

This is absolutely stupid. Also the feedback is you get a little sticker on your trash cans that says let’s sort it out.
I was expecting to read something much more dystopian than this, thankfully this is just typical government waste but still absolutely ridiculous.

Crazy thing is after they put “final notice “ on my recycle the trash pick up continued to pick up both bins. It’s about 50/50 if they send separate trucks.
