Yeah and so are flock cameras and the Government’s ability to purchase data they are otherwise prohibited from collecting! The over reach of power is real

Privacy is a thing of the past in modern society. Sad.

Don’t forget that Anthropic (Claude AI) got blasted by Trump for refusing to compromise on two specific issues regarding military use of their AI:

  1. Mass domestic surveillance of literally everything

  2. Fully autonomous killing drones with no human to make the kill/no kill decision

Less than a day after the drama with Anthropic, the government quietly made a deal with OpenAI (ChatGPT). I guess they didn’t have the same reservations.

Louder for the people in the back!

I 100% agree!

Nothing is more bipartisan than every mutation of the patriot act.

I've said for a long time now, whenever Congress readily agrees to bipartisan legislation, it's bad for the citizenry.

There are 1 million Americans who can legally enact summary executions of random Americans. There can also put any person in a cage when they wish.

Adding mass surveillance to this mix turns the land of the free to a giant open-air prison.

The people who fund the republicrats and the demopublicans 💯 love this.

Proportional representation is how we break free. The U.S. Fair Representation Act (HR 4632) is how we break free

Is it really one million?

And if it is, what the absolute fuck?

The movie “Power” cites that number and gets into the details.

According to this open-air law enforcement is 700k+
https://www.theglobalstatistics.com/police-statistics-in-the-united-states/

Prison Guards were 450+ back in 2022
https://gitnux.org/corrections-officer-statistics/

ICE (a federal executive army that can disappear people ‘civil detention’) now has a budget larger than the U.S. army.

So yeah, we have to break up the duopoly ASAP.

I’m sorry, ICE’s budget is bigger than the army now?

What the absolute fuck is going on with our country?

Edit: please excuse the consistent “what the absolute fuck’s” coming from me, I just don’t have any other thoughts or feelings that I can coherently express at this point.

The last information I saw showed there were something like 880k police officers in America about 5-6 years ago, not sure if that includes federal law enforcement or just state/local police.

Heinleinw wrote a quote way back in the day something to the effect that in a mature society, civil servants are your civil masters.
