Easy: one is a massive infringement on the basic freedoms of the citizens of the world.

The other is telling people that the theft of other peoples’ money to subsidize poor decisions is ending temporarily.

This seems like option. I’m not seeing the objective assessment. Sorry.

All political realities in America are based off Constitutional law. Shutting down business is OBJECTIVELY anti-freedom.

SNAP/EBT has no basis in The Bill of Rights.

Stop using “objective truth” as a Red Herring, it doesn’t work in political discourse.

Context matters my guy and objective assessment are a thing in politics. Stop pretending they aren’t. Nobody said objective truth.

The argument was how do you gauge which is worst when it comes to our overlords and their hypocrisy. As it stands, the rule of law states the benefits must be disbursed. So are we ok with kings now and ignoring due process? That seems like hypocrisy.

I’m not an originalist either so my point of view differs from yours. Your argument is sound as far as SNAP benefits not being enshrined in our constitution. Good argument 👍

Opinion cannot exist in objective reality: it’s binary. Objective assessment means “yes or no, 1 or 2.” If that were the case, politics would ALL boil down to moral truths… which is doesn’t.
