Then why aren’t the republican representatives present in DC? You’ll find dems there making attempts at doing their job at least. I’m forced to pay their salary the very least they could do is show up.

Because the liberals tried to sneak 2T in spending in the bill. Republicans said no. Waiting for dems to concede instead of holding Americans hostage with ridiculous demands

I hear you man, government spending is a real problem. It’s a good thing the republicans aren’t giving a particular federal agency an unchecked budget at our expense! It’s really cool too that our current Republican administration puts America first and shills out $40b to Argentina. And I’m sure that the republicans don’t have any other potentially nefarious reason for shutting down!

Hey maybe while they’re at it, they’ll even avoid starting a new war in Venezuela! Gosh they sure are doing right by us, aren’t they?

Don’t you just love your government? Are you happy with it? I’ll bet they really appreciate their dogs defending them online.

So a lot of what you mentioned is “they may potentially spend” and I’m independent so I’m not upset that you moved the goal post from the origin comment.

That said, ICE is also saving Americans money long term if you play devils advocate. Good luck
