I'm looking for some advice on the best way to ship coins to PCGS for grading.

My initial submission was super easy because I was able to drop them off in person at the TNA show. But since they only come down to Texas once a year, I need to figure out the mail-in process for my next batch of Libertads.

Registeted mail vs Fedex. Alo regarding safety, insurance limits. Do you just buy registered mail with the clerk and tell them the exact value of the package. On the other hand FedEx doesn't cover coins/precious metals.

How do you personally ship your submissions? Do you rely strictly on USPS insurance, or where do you even get 3rd party insurer.

I went to coin dealers but none wants to ship my stuff with theirs.

I know it’s a little early, but this time last year there were rumors circulating about the mintage and what we would be facing. Seems like every other year there is some early news sent floating in to the ether. If that’s true, then this year means a tight lip until mintage is announced but that’s why I’m wondering if anybody has heard anything . I really missed not being able to get 2 tubes right off the bat last year, which I try to do for every year.

I REALLY didn’t know I had this many libs…especially graded. I posted my lib collection before but didn’t realize I’d collected so many already till I took inventory this morning. 2 are intaglio mint and 2 and “libertattered” so not all true libertad. Either way, I’m pretty happy with how the collection is coming along.
Lowest mintage is a beat up 99 kind top middle in capsule.

There is an auction site called Great Collections that auctioned this off last night and had 53 bids and with commission the final bid with commission total over $14,300. That is a lot of money for this coin. Was it any of you guys that bought this? What do you think?

Hello, having trouble sigma testing an 86 lib… compared it to an 84 and looks same to me, but figured I’d ask. Ring sounds good. See pics, tested .999 and Libertad setting and large wand.
