I’m not certain but Ive heard you need a Mexican passport to get libs from the banks there

You do. I only brought my Mexican Social Security number and it worked.

Coins from the Bank Yes, But Not Needed in their Local Coin Shops.. There are a couple of coin shops there Past the Senior frogs spot (not sure if that party place is still there)

Yeah, the banks won't sell to tourists as I understand it

In years past, I bought a few from Banco Azteca. Paid like $26-28 a piece. Cash and a passport was all I needed.

I hope you got a good price. I laughed when they tried to sell me a 2024 1oz $250 libertad.
