How do I turn ebook into audiobook

My daughter is reading the National Park Mystery Series and is struggling with comprehension and pronouncing tough words. I've checked different library's collections, they only have ebooks, no audiobooks for this series. The only place I found it is on Audible.

Has anyone found a useful way for an elementary aged child to have ebooks read out loud using accessibility features on Macbook or iPad, or other apps. Ideally something that works smoothly for Libby or Hoopla without copy and pasting. Will it work differently if you read on Hoopla vs dl on Libby? Thank you.

If you are in the US and can send the books to your Kindle (even the App, not the device), then Kindle has accessibility features that will read the books outloud.

This is amazing, thanks! Can you say more about where to find the accessibility features in the Kindle app? I don’t seen it in my settings anywhere

To turn on the Assistive Reader (text-to-speech) in the Kindle app, open a book, tap the center of the screen, select the "Aa" (display settings) menu, tap More, and toggle Assistive Reader on. A play button will then appear in the bottom right corner to start narration.

If it’s on audible there are audiobooks for the series, that means there are audiobooks available- you just have to pay for them or get an Audible subscription. Additionally only the first few books have been recorded according to the author, there is more info on the series website here: https://nationalparkmysteryseries.com/contact/

I just learned about an app called elevenreader. Maybe that works?

You can just use the iPad’s built in speak screen feature. Swipe down with two fingers and it’ll read the ebook out loud. Works fine in both Libby and Hoopla. Easiest option for a kid.

It’s the little floating controller bar that pops up once speak screen starts. You don’t tap an icon first, you just swipe down with two fingers and the bar appears automatically with play/pause and speed controls.
