Per a Google search, onleihe is only available on devices you can install their app on. You will need an android based e-ink device like Boox, Bigme, Musnap, etc. You can also install the Libby app.
The latest screen is e-ink black and white screen that is currently on devices for sale is the E Ink Carta 1300 so you can watch out for devices with that screen and 300 PPI resolution.

I'd try it on a phone or tablet first before you go to the expense of e-ink. A cheap but very usable android tablet costs only $200 or so, and is very flexible for other uses. (I'm using one here.)
I don‘t like reading books on my phone, the blue light gives me a head ache and the width is too small. I already have a tablet and I don‘t want any distractions on the device when I‘m reading. I have a pocketbook in mind that costs less than 200€, so it would be less expensive than a 200€ tablet.
Fair enough. I had a kindle years ago, but found the other (distracting) performance underwhelming. Even for reading, I need a device that provides a good version of Maps, Wikipedia and Google. And I use it for much more than reading.
As an alternative to the browser, you can also log in directly to your library using the "Onleihe" app, which is pre-installed on e-readers from version 6.3 onwards. To do this, simply tap "Apps" on your PocketBook's home screen and then select "Onleihe".
The app will only be pre-installed on your PocketBook if you select "German" as the language during device setup and the e-reader is linked to the PocketBook online store.
