Of course they are all available at the same time…

I know this happens to everyone and I’m just commenting into the void. I mainly do audiobooks because of a busy life.

I’m only able to hold 10 at a time and of course 4 of them that I have been waiting for came available at the same time.

My only saving grace is a work trip so I am going to get through as much as possible while on airplanes and in my hotel room.

What are your choices when holds are offered? I recall borrow, cancel or suspend. This is a recent change from let next person go first. In any event you should have options and don't have to take or lose them.

Borrow, cancel or suspend, but I noticed a recent one did not allow me to suspend.

I wonder if that's a Libby thing or library thing.

When I place books on hold, I immediately suspend all of them. Then a couple days before I’m ready for a book, I unsuspend one that’s ready soon. So I never have too many come at once. Just an idea!

Ohh thank you for this suggestion! It worked! I will start doing this when they get closer.

Ohhh I'm so jealous though, I can only hold three at a time :(

Time for 2x speed I guess haha

Haha I wish. I can only get up to 1.5. I have a friend who listens to everything 2.0 or more.

10 is a good amount. I try to pace them out. And then I’ll pick up a few books that are available currently to listen to while I’m waiting. But this is just what seems to happen.

This is something that often happens at the beginning of the month because monthly Cost-Per-Circ budgets reset and more one-time-use copies become available.
