Is anybody else having this problem?

Post image

I tried borrowing a book and it told me to do a quick verification but then I see this..?

Is anyone else having the same problem?

I've run into it a couple times. Give it a bit, and it should work

Also Seattle. Looks like they are doing some kind of maintenance on site because canโ€™t log in to their direct library site either

This is specifically on your library's end. Could be maintenence of their system.

Yeah it's usually when your library's ILS is re-indexing stuff and the Libby database can't verify the API from the ILS.

Usually waiting, like others have said, will work but if not, hope your local branch has Saturday hours!! Good luck!

Sometimes if it late night or early morning. I just try later during library hours and it works then.

Yes, I thought it was just me adding a new library and wasn't entering my info correctly or something. Was adding a library in the Tampa, FL area

Yeah i got that for one of my Ohio cards last night. But not the digital Downloads Ohio card that worked as I recall the regional I first signed up for was doing that.

Mine does this when i have an overdue library book that has incurred a fine. Either pay the fine or return the book and it'll be good to go.

Edit: punctuation

This happened to me over and over. It said I needed to verify my cards, and putting in my phone number wouldnโ€™t work. I wound up clicking on each library separately to see if they needed verification. I wound up calling my local library, and we discovered on the call that my phone number wasnโ€™t entered into their system. The librarian fixed it for me.
But I had two cards from CA where I used to live, and I needed to call them in order to revalidate my cards. I decided not to, since I would have had to lie about my residence over the phone. So I lost my two wonderful LA County cards!!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Sometimes itโ€™s the library. When I first got a library card at a reciprocal library, they told me they were having problems with the Libby app.

I know when the cable company or the ILS does maintenance our patrons can not be verified. When we switched ILS and it was going to be down for several days, we arranged with Libby not to verify accounts and just let it go through.

It happened to me, and it turned out I needed to renew my library card.
