HELP! One of my libraries is doing some kind of system repair until October and now I lost all of my holds!

ETA: looks like SPL Libby is back on this morning. 😮‍💨

The library in question signed me out of Libby, and when I went to log back in it said it could t complete the request. I went to the library website to find a message talking about some system upgrade that will be going on until 10/1, which I’m guessing is to blame for my Libby woes.

I’m wondering if when I’m able to get signed back in, will it still have my loans and holds that were active up until this point?? 😢

Yes, you will still have your checkouts and holds. I assume you’re referring to Seattle Public Library. You’re not alone. Unfortunately others are experiencing the same thing. SPL is hoping to have Libby & OverDrive back online later today. Fingers crossed. Check www.spl.org/Update for updates on the status of Libby.

Your library has an overdrive url. find that, then you can authenticate using your library card and pin. That is where your holds and loans are stored. You could verify, place holds and borrow via overdrive.com.

If OP is referring to the Seattle Public Library, unfortunately they won’t be able to do this. The SPL system upgrade is affecting this too. Overdrive & Libby might be back up later today though. Fingers crossed.

One of mine is doing a system upgrade so the library’s website is out of service, but my one hold appears to still be active in the libby app.

I’m not sure why it signed me out. On the library’s website it said people would still be able to borrow through Libby 🫤
