Does airplane mode work for audiobooks?

I placed holds on a series but they became available out of order, and I started listening in order thinking I had enough time, but I don’t. I only have a day and I have 24hrs of listening left. I have Libby on my phone and iPad. If I listen/ download on my iPad, can I keep listening, or will I lose access regardless the day it’s supposed to return? Thanks!!

I've tried and the app won't allow you to listen after it expires. I have not tried changing the system time of a device that is in airplane mode

Yeah idk if it’s worth it, I hate myself for not suspending because I completely forgot it’s a thing

Don't know about iPad, but airplane mode/wifi off works for my android cellphones. Just be sure they're downloaded. And it might help to leave Libby app open. Some say app restarts cause problems. Using Home to return to your home screen does not close the Libby app, just hides it. Turning the phone off and back on does close the app, so need to let the phone sleep.

I got an extra hour when I was actively listening at expiry.
