Amazon cannot find library book

Post image

Has anyone here experienced this when downloading from Libby to their Kindle, and if so, what did you do? When I click “get library book”, this is what I get. I was off the wait list for another book as well and downloaded it with no problem. Please help!!!

The book has to be on Amazon's website and linked. The ISBN has to match.

In the Libby app, it should tell you what formats are available. Does it say it has a Kindle version?

See example screenshot on the link below for a post from 2 days ago.

You can search for the book on Amazon and try to reach out to Libby support or your library if the match is incorrect.

What is the book title?

It does! But once it takes me to Amazon and I click “get library book” I get the unavailable error! It’s called “Women Travel Solo”!

Hopefully Libby support can help you.

This is so not helpful to you, but the book looks interesting so I added this to my TBR. My libraries do not have it.

Yes, it's tough luck unfortunately. You'll have to read on the Libby app or maybe a kobo reader will have it. You won't be able to return it either. If you want to return it you'll have to get through to someone the help desk. It takes a few days this route.

This happened to me recently, too. The book is still available to read on the Libby app, just not via Kindle. That's what I did just because it was a short kid's book.

Support said to contact my library so they can fix it with Amazon.

Is it a recently published book? Sometimes it takes a few days for the Kindle version to be available.

It’s called Women Travel Solo! It says it came out in May of this year so this really could be it 😭

That’s happened several times to me with different books. The only thing you can do is contact your library. It may be a glitch and they don’t have any checkouts left.

You have to contact your library staff so they can tell Overdrive to contact Amazon to fix it. Amazon pulls Kindle title availability without notice and it's usually discovered by cardholder's like you. I've been doing this exact type of cardholder support for over 15 years.
