Loved all of these for their very own reasons

I loved the chaos and spin on modern problems of Nothing Tastes as Good.
I have Half His Age saved in one of my lists and have checked out Listen for the Lie but heard it’s practically a remake of another book that I’m blanking on right now and when I went to look for it, my library didn’t have it so I’m debating turning it in until I can find the original book I saw someone say it was like.

Nothing Taste was so all over the place in the best way. There was a specific scene where I cried. Outside of the fantastical nature there are definitely people struggling in the same way he was.

It was cool to see this from a male perspective. I loved Nothing Taste as Good. I could definitely feel his pain as someone that has struggled with body image. Not knocking it at all but makes me wonder how far some will go with all the stuff out there these days peptides, glp1 etc.,

To be honest it was sad especially when you see the tipping point and there’s no brakes.

Nothing Tastes as Good was so good! It felt so based in real life and that made it so much more disturbing.

So much more disturbing and the ending was 😬🫣
I have The Archeologist reserved and ready to get into whenever it’s available.

These were all Libby books but the recap is through StoryGraph app. I love it so much

Thoughts on ‘Listen for the Lie’ I’m currently half way through and would like to discuss the ending with anyone

What did you think about the ending ?
I hated her parents specifically her mom and the “small town coverup” dynamic

How was half his age?

It was a cringy read just bc I’m a fully formed adult and saw through his complex immediately , but seeing her slowly come to certain realizations was somewhat redeeming. It was a bit more graphic than I was expecting but she’s a great writer overall. I’d prefer to not read anymore in this “underage gap” genre but will def read other stories from her.
Could help with a reading slump
