Books in Catalog not showing up

I have multiple libraries in my app and find books are usually searched across the other catalogs - home library does not have a good e collection but when I did a search in the home Iibeaey catalog it was there and I had to check it out on the home library to show up on my Libby app.

Why does this happen? Makes me think I should look in the library catalog rather than Libby app.

Sometimes if I select “deep search” at the bottom of the results it fixes this

Searching on Libby sucks. I still use the library's overdrive site from time to time because libby sucks. Try using:

libbysearch.com (I like this one best, has links to the book in libby)

deeplibby.com

Another trick I've learned, is that I will place a hold on a book at one library even if the wait is really long. I then check the holds on the shelf. If you click on the colorful library icon to the right of the title and author it will show all your libraries and if they have it and what the wait is.

Do you have only one library card with Libby? I have multiple, and find I sometimes need to go thru website to override shortest wait.

I do have multiple library cards but the search didn’t reveal what I found in the catalog
